How people get it: Mostly inside clinical trials. Some, such as quercetin and fisetin, are sold as supplements.
Part of Age reversal: clearing old cells
The basics
What it is
Navitoclax is a pill-form drug that blocks Bcl-2 proteins and promotes apoptosis, which is cell death.
How it's thought to work
Senescent cells in melanoma release a mix of signals called SASP that changes how immune cells are recruited and work.
What the research has found so far
- A review of animal studies found quercetin improved cartilage scores in osteoarthritis, a joint disease linked to aging.
- The review authors said human trials are still needed to check if quercetin works for osteoarthritis.
- A review of studies said clinical use of senescence-targeting approaches in melanoma needs more study to confirm safety and benefit.

Stage 2 because 20 published trials and 41 registered trials in people have been found, but no large ones yet.
A stage shows how far research has got, not whether it will work for you. How stages work
Side effects and risks
In cancer patients, navitoclax caused a drop in platelets, which are blood cells that help clotting.
Amounts used in studies
What studies or labels describe, not a recommendation.
Studies of navitoclax in 256 cancer patients used oral doses from 10 to 475 mg. Those studies gave navitoclax on a 14 of 21 day schedule or as a continuous once daily schedule.
Roughly what it costs
The one product we list that contains Senolytics costs $35, as read from the makers' pages. See the products
Questions to ask your doctor
- Is Senolytics a sensible option for me, given my health and the medicines I take?
- Could Senolytics interact with any medicine or supplement I already take?
- What side effects should I watch for, and when should I stop or call you?
- Would Senolytics be used for its approved purpose, or off-label for aging?
- How would we tell whether it is helping, and when should we review it?
This is general information gathered from the sources listed, not medical advice. Talk to your doctor before starting anything new.
Products that contain it
