What this means
Partial edentia (partial absence of teeth) is the most common dental condition, occurring in all age groups, including young and middle-aged patients. This article, based on an analysis of domestic and international data, demonstrates that dental health is an integral part of overall health, and dental status is inextricably linked to quality of life, requiring a comprehensive approach to the care of these patients.

Abstract
Partial edentia (partial absence of teeth) is the most common dental condition, occurring in all age groups, including young and middle-aged patients. This article, based on an analysis of domestic and international data, demonstrates that dental health is an integral part of overall health, and dental status is inextricably linked to quality of life, requiring a comprehensive approach to the care of these patients. A systematic review of clinical studies demonstrates that a significant proportion of patients with partial edentia remain without prosthetic replacement for extended periods of time, resulting in the development of functional impairments that accelerate systemic involutional processes. To study partial edentia from the perspective of accelerated aging, it is appropriate to use the concept of intrinsic vitality, considering dental health as a component of the somatic domain that influences nutritional status, muscle function, and cognitive health. Functional impairments associated with partial edentia are accompanied by aesthetic changes, which often lead to psychological and social problems. Therefore, in the context of premature aging, partial edentia can be considered a pathogenetically significant biomarker of systemic aging. The aim of this article is to use scientific literature to define a clinical profile of a patient with partial edentia in terms of premature aging and domains of intrinsic vitality.
